About Dr. Vijay Panikar

Dr. Vijay Panikar MD; DNB; FCPS is the founder and director of Dr. Panikar's Specialtiy Care Centre located in Dadar & Bandra (East), Mumbai. He brings with him years of clinical expertise and training in this field. He has successfully managed a comprehensive spectrum of endocrine and diabetic cases over the past three decades.

Dr. Panikar is an active Professor of medicine at K.J. Somaiya Medical College, Sion, Mumbai. He is also an Hon. consultant with the Dept. of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism at Lilavati Hospital, and Gurunanak Hospital, Bandra, Mumbai.

He has served as the President of the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Bombay in the past. He is currently the acting vice-president of the Research Society for Study of Diabetes in India - Maharashtra Chapter and also the Secretary of the Association for Diabetes Care and Prevention.

Dr. Panikar has, to his credit, more than forty research publications. He has published in leading journals, co-authored numerous chapters for textbooks, and presented his research across the country. He has also authored a book on diabetes ‘The Healthy way of living with diabetes’ which has also been translated in Gujarati, Marathi, and Malayalam.

With his tremendous communication skills, he has enlightened myriad admirers all over the globe through his well-crafted talks at seminars and conferences.No wonder the vast ocean of his ingenuity has been utilized for the service of humanity.
